Let’s Play Dress Up – Modeling for Nana

I might not be adding new items to my closet anymore, but it doesn’t mean I can’t play dress up. My good friend Tobey emailed me with a proposal a couple of weeks ago. She works for Nana, a DC-based online boutique, and the owner, Jackie, needed pictures of their 2013 spring line. Josh and I immediately accepted – we love to work with local businesses. Josh assumed the role of photographer and I was the model.

I’ll admit, I wasn’t all shiny white teeth and hip-locked poses when she first suggested it. It took a couple of days and my friend’s encouragement to step in front of the camera. It turned out to be so much fun. And since my best friend and partner Josh was my photographer, I felt at ease. It was a call back to our days taking pictures for the old blog. This experience also made us realize that we like taking pictures together, so expect to see more on here.

It doesn’t hurt that the clothes are super cute! Go check out Nana’s handmade, limited-run dresses, skirts and tops. I’ve heard that they have a really cute new model :-)
